A stunning musical/theatrical piece featuring the life, the music and the historical significance of Sammy Davis, Jr, perhaps the most gifted entertainer America has ever known. The songs and script reflect the ascent of Sammy as he struggles to overcome racism and his own demons. Performed by an outstanding Jazz is a Rainbow cast, many of whom have never been exposed to the world of jazz or theatre. Jazz is a Rainbow projects have been supported by the US Department of Education, by unusually diverse audiences and outstanding jazz musicians and acknowledged by community leaders throughout America.
