a concert as part of a residency at umass dartmouth 6-13 april 2019 with the global jazz ensemble blood drum spirit. the residency includes open rehearsals, workshops, mentoring, classes, film screenings and discussions, and concerts. it is dedicated to prof. j. h. kwabena nketia, who passed away 13 march 2019, and was a visionary in sharing the music of africa with the world.
