ZONE plays music from the tradition of modern jazz stretching from the ‘30s into the present and extends the tradition with original compositions and arrangements by both Michael Moss and Mel Nusbaum who have played together for 40 years in different musical configurations. Pieces featured in this program will include jazz standards and original music written in the blues, South American, and up-tempo jazz genres.
ZONE is very excited to be backing up Sharon Sigal on songs by Harold Arlen and Charles Mingus in addition to its instrumental set.
